a little guide for your Letter tray
Print photocards on US Letter paper
US Letter paper measures 8.5 × 11 inches (215.9 × 279.4 mm). Select Letter in the editor and in your printer driver; Letter and A4 are different sizes and should not be substituted in the print dialog.
Default Letter capacity
The Letter nine-card layout stays portrait with 3 × 3 full-size cards. With 55 × 85 mm cards, a 5 mm margin and 3 mm gaps, Auto also normally chooses nine-card portrait over eight-card landscape. Auto first minimizes page count, then chooses greater capacity, then portrait if both are tied.
Templates preserve their physical dimensions on every page. Fill frame crops the photo to its window. Fit entire photo keeps the whole image without stretching and leaves unused space when the proportions differ.
Check the last page
Copies start grouped by design; Move cards can exchange individual copies across pages. If you need 10 copies of one image, you will get a full sheet of nine and a second sheet with one card at the default size. Empty positions stay empty. Use the page controls to check every sheet before exporting.
Crop marks indicate the rectangular finished edges. Optional double-sided settings add a shared back, flip direction, alignment offsets and up to 1 mm bleed. For photo paper, choose Auto and the exact 4 × 6 inch or 5 × 7 inch size. The tool does not round corners or control a kiosk’s automatic scaling.
Avoid automatic scaling
Choose Letter paper and Actual size / 100% in your PDF viewer. Disable Fit and borderless enlargement. Check the separate calibration PDF: the horizontal and vertical rulers should each measure 50 mm.
A PDF can have the correct geometry while a printer scales its output. Test one sheet and measure a card before running the rest of the batch.
