PhotocardLab
Photocard help & common questions.
Make, save and print your cards without an account. Your photos are processed on your device.
How do I make my first sheet?
Choose a free template, then use Add photos in the workbench. Set copies for each design in Photos. Card shows the selected design; Sheet shows the printed layout. The summary distinguishes finished cards, physical sheets and PDF pages.
Use Adjust photo crop in Photos to change a photo. Fill frame crops the edges to cover the window; Fit entire photo preserves the whole image and can leave space. For a finished design, choose Plain photo with Fit entire photo.
Where do I change paper, size or the back?
Open Print setup on a computer. On a phone, open More, then Paper & card size. A4 supports fixed nine-card portrait and ten-card landscape layouts; Letter supports fixed nine-card portrait. Auto provides the other paper sizes, square cards, photo strips and custom sizes.
Shared back applies to every design. On a phone it is under More. Double-sided exports alternate front and back pages, so one physical sheet uses two PDF pages. Use the alignment test before a batch.
How do I save and reopen my project?
Open the Project menu at the top of the workbench. Save on this device stores one browser draft; Restore saved project opens it. Autosave is optional and only runs while this page stays open.
Download project backup creates a portable .pclab file with your photos and settings. Open project backup imports it and pauses autosave so the original browser draft is preserved. Keep important backups separately because browser cleanup can remove local drafts.
How do I download the finished cards?
Open Export. Create PDF & Download prepares the PDF and requests a download; Save PDF lets you request it again. A low-resolution image needs your confirmation before export. A download request does not confirm that the browser saved the file.
Export PNG pages or Export JPG pages prepares a ZIP. Use Save page images ZIP when it is ready, then unzip the pages before printing. Download empty PDF on the template page instead gives you blank photo windows without your photos.
Why is the printed size different?
In Export, create the separate size test first. Print at Actual size / 100%, turn off Fit to page and measure both 50 mm rulers. Match the printer paper to the PDF and choose one printer copy: your card quantities are already included.
The home printing guide explains paper, cutting and double-sided checks. If the problem continues, use the Contact page and include your browser, paper size and the steps that failed. Do not send private photos.
